Lodging

If you want to stay at a state park, you have two options from Lake Saint John. In Louisiana, you can reserve a spot at Lake Bruin, located 30 miles north. This park has 36 improved campsites and 12 premium sites, three of which are pull-through with all hook-ups. The other option is across the Mississippi River at Natchez State Park, located about 20 miles from Ferriday, Louisiana. This park has ten cabins that hold up to six people each, including one cabin that is handicap accessible. The park also has several campgrounds, ranging from eight primitive sites to 50 standard sites.

Lake Saint John is in high demand for private waterfront private homes, so finding accommodations along the lake might be difficult. Still, visitors can find private campgrounds, short-term rental homes, cabins, beds and breakfasts, and hotels. Natchez also provides a wide range of accommodations. Natchez, a 300-year-old town that sits on the banks of the Mississippi River, offers plenty of entertainment and activities for the entire family.
